About us

The Gourmet Night Market is located in the beautiful location of Coronation Park in Mount Maunganui. It is a weekly summer event held on Fridays from 5 PM to dark with 3000 plus customers looking for fresh and interesting foods when listening to live music meetings with friends and colleges.

The Gourmet Night Markets increasing popularity warrants early vendor commitment to avoid disappointment.

Vendors are selected for quality, fresh and innovative menu options featuring local produce all with 'minimum waste' packaging.

You are encouraged to cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten and dairy free and paleo diets and preference will be given to interesting stalls with both high-quality products and displays.

Please note, vendor applications with highly processed, denatured food will not be considered.

Trading hours are from 5PM to dark (set up from 3PM) every Friday from 1st December to 16th March
(19th of January is a NO-Market day due to Tauranga multi sports event)

  • food related stalls eg. fresh produce or cheeses

Market Objective

It is our aim to create a friendly, casual and happy Market atmosphere dominated by the overall desire to offer great and different foods and drink. We will make the final decisions on which vendors will trade at GNM.
Factors influencing this decision will include but not be limited to:

  3. Sustainability practices
  4. Uniqueness and differentiation
  5. Loyalty

Please read the terms and select your Options
  • The market will operate between 5pm and approximately 9pm every Friday for December and January
  • The market will operate between 5pm and approximately 8.30pm every Friday for February and March
  • Coronation Park will be open to vendors from 3.00pm for setup, you will need to be onsite by 4.30pm at the latest
  • Food trucks need to be onsite by 4.15pm
  • Stallholders must:

    • Have evidence of current public liability insurance and provide a current food licence number with this application (e-mail copy)
    • Be responsible for operating a safe place of trade, keeping egress and thoroughfares behind and in front of the stalls free from rubbish and products at all times
    • Adhere to any applicable TCC bylaws
    • Adhere to our Vendor Packaging Framework as will be advised VPF
    • Abide by all directives from the Gourmet Night Market team
    • Prepare enough food for the event and serve customers in a prompt manner, whilst maintaining a quality standard
    • stall sites must be paid for on invoice due dates - refunds are given at our discression only

    Vehicle access and parking

    • vendors can have one vehicle per stall on site. This vehicle can either be the van itsself or a car parked behind the gazebo (exceptions may apply)

    Waste: stallholders must

    • keep stalls clean and tidy and free of rubbish at all times
    • be responsible for the removal of their own rubbish at the end of the market
    • Packaging rules will be advised in due course

    There is a limited number of stalls sites available for any date and choices will be made, without prejudice, to create the best GNM.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Due to the TCC changing the rules around waste collection we have changed our waste contractor on a trial basis  –  we will endeavor to stay a MINIMUM WASTE event and you will be contacted with the rules regarding packaging.
